Man alive ... it's been over 2 months since I updated the blog!
ol' John is alive and well. I made several trips into southwestern Florida to research my upcoming book on Southern Florida and on the way back came down with bronchitis. So that pretty well took the wind out of my sails for something like six weeks.
Then tragedy struck a friend of mine. One of our motorcycle club members was hit by a hit and run driver. This episode has been receiving quite a bit of attention here in Jacksonville and, frankly, has been a major time consumer for Yours Truly for the last few weeks since I'm the el President of the bike club, and chief communicator and organizer. The bottom line is that we have hired a private detective and have some good leads that may lead us to the driver that struck Rich, and we will be holding a charity ride for him on August 27th.
